World Of Internet Of Things(IOT)

We are living in a world where billions of objects or things can communicate & share information, all interconnected over Internet Protocol(IP).
These objects have regularly collected data, analysed & in use to initiate actions, also providing a huge wealth of intelligence for planning, management, & making decisions. This interconnected concept is called the World Of Internet Of Things.

This concept was originally coined by the member of RFID which stands for Radio Frequency Identification Development community in 1999. Now IOT concept is more relevant to the practical world largely because of the rapid growth of worldwide communication, smartphones, cloud computing and data analytics.
Since then, visionaries have referred the phrase as "Internet Of Things". Also called the general idea of things, everyday connected objects, those are readable, recognisable, addressable, controllable via the internet, irrespective of the communication via RFID, LAN, WI-FI, or other means). Today objects include not only the electronic things or equipment but also the things that we do not ordinarily think of as electronic at all-Ex: food & clothing.
Examples of things also include: People, Location(object), Time information, condition(objects).

In 2010, the number of integrated physical objects and devices connected to the Internet was approximately 12.5 billion. Cisco announced the figure is expected to double to 25 billion till 2015. and further 50 billion by 2020.
Today every industry, companies are staying competitive by adopting new technologies, enhancing business process and innovating new services to increase productivity and save costs.
